Runway Report- For Pucci SS 2013 It’s All About The Far East Movement
Taking inspiration from his travels to Vietnam what the clothes lacked in busy prints was replaced by lavish fabrics, quilted mini kimono’s, impeccable embroidery and a signature Dundas attention to detail. The stacked wedge sandals looked like a piece of art with intricately carved out dragons lurking beneath the feet and even small accessories like hair clips stayed true to the Asian inspiration. The palette, a combination of lily whites, pale green, gold and black with occasional injection of electric blue, red or rose added to the spot-on Spring looks.
The Pucci woman might have worn loads of busy prints forty years ago and probably always will, but for now she’s stepped into the present time and still manages to stay as bold and graphic as ever.
