Monica Patel-Cohn had already been working within the fashion industry for notable folks like Barneys New York creative genius Simon Doonan and the illustrious Prada label in Milan when she decided to venture out and create a soulful collection of her own.
What resulted from her Brooklyn studio was a chic and urban range simple called Two, which married her Italian and Indian heritage beautifully. Created from handloomed saris and textiles, it is easy to see why this label has already garnered a cult following in Europe, Japan and the United States.
Not just confined to the home, these pieces are perfect to stroll around in with some gorgeous, chunky jewelry and flats, as was captured by the Sartorialist on the streets of NYC.
Aside from the various shades, patterns and lengths of breezy clothing for women, Two also has a small portion of their wear dedicated to stylish tots. Organic cotton tees are playfully decorated with eco friendly, water based ink. The silkscreened tops are full of simple and sweet sketches that are available for kids through 4 years old.
While most items from the collection are available for purchase online, they are also carried by many boutiques from La Tenda in Milan to Erica Tanov in The Bay Area.
