Kym Ellery's Spring/Summer '12-'13 Collection was magnificent just as we expected. Using a mostly white or metallic silver palette interjected with rich fuchsia, red and moss green, the clothes were at once futuristic in shape yet classic in the details. The Aussie designer took inspiration from her childhood and delivered yet another stellar set of pieces we are already obsessed with.
"Ellery is for women who adore fashion but want to push the boundaries and strive to create their own signature". -Kym ElleryThe show which was officially titled, “Delicatessen” was designed around the idea of long lost regret, was inspired by a teddy bear she gave away at the age of 18. The occasional headpieces on some girls were meant to reference the teddy bear’s ears in a sweet, quirky way. Ellery stayed true to the label’s signature look which primarily comprises of peplums, big shoulders and metallic.
The peplum shape continues to remain a big trend for Fall 2012 as we saw in Lanvin. Feeling shy about wearing a whole metallic outfit? Start by going for the super cool trend with your shoes- incidentally this trend will also endure for Fall ‘12.
