Trend Files- Get Your Coachella Desert Chic On With Free People
The hippie trippy fantastically boho pieces that make up Free People’s collections every season are exactly why we flip the heck out every time a new catalogue is released. For April 2012 they bussed Jacquelyn Jablonski Hailey Clauson Luisa Bianchin and Kate Harrison over to a desert in the middle of nowhere for a festival inspired shoot. Throw in a good dose of Navajo prints, crochet, neon denim shorts with an array of midriff baring tops and you get a whole lot of amazing looks that will carry through Spring/Summer easily.
Some of the cool details we expecially love are the multi colored nails, pastel sunnies, strappy flat sandals and the blue/pink streaks in Hailey Clauson’s hair. Also keep your eyes peeled for a to-die-for pair of denim shorts with pretty lace detailing.
The folks over at Free People tend to cast pretty fantastic models for their catalogues but usually not four girls at the same time. The previous campaigns have featured everyone’s girl-of-the-moment Karlie Kloss and most recently the ever so gorgeous Freja Beha in the February issue along with her very own short film from the shoot.
Kate Harrison might look familiar to some of you out there and that’s because she has done some extensive modeling for the super popular online retailer Nasty Gal. Its always good to see great models like Kate and relative newcomer Luisa Bianchin step it up with a veteran like Jacquelyn Jablonski.
Incidentally we are also quite happy to see 16 year old Hailey Clauson (on the left in the picture below) in a more age appropriate look compared to the crazy turn of events that happened between her and POP Magazine earlier this year.
