Shoes Shoes Shoes- Maria Sharapova, Cole Haan And Nike Air Make Shoe Babies

In the oversaturated sea of celebrity endorsed crap on the market nowadays its somewhat of a joke to find smart, well designed pieces. For a good laugh head over here. So when we were passing by the Maria Sharapova for Cole Haan collection at the shoe department in Bloomingdales it was refreshing to see how absolutely beautiful everything was. Light as a feather thanks to Nike Air technology and available in super bright delicious hues this is a collection to be reckoned with.

All of the shoes are armed with Nike air technology which makes them super comfortable to walk in. The ballet flats are by far our favorite, shiny patent slippers with leather soles that come in seven different colors. There are heels and wedges in the collection though too, the wedge comes in buttery leather or suede upper with a stacked platform. Another hit in the series is the “Air Catalina Sandal”, a sort of gladiator flat that looks especially cute in the gold glitter version.

Maria who is only 24 was named the highest-paid sportswoman in the world between her three grand slam titles and eight-year Nike deal worth a reported $70 million. She has been designing and modeling for Cole Haan for a few years now which has extended beyond shoes to include accessories and clothing as well. When asked about her hands-on design approach she recently told CNN, "Since I was young, the artistic expression that fashion embodies has inspired me. t's a way to communicate oneself."
