Shalom Harlow is wrapped in an armor like Gareth Pugh dress, Guinevere Van Seenus looks on from behind a beaded tulle head wrap, Hahn-Bin looks like the love child of Marilyn Manson and a Cirque du Soleil performer with a half shaved head and arresting stark makeup while Sui He and Carolyn Murphy emerge from cracked shell-like paint on their skin. If these covers don’t make you stop and stare, well we don’t really know what will.
Apparently the idea behind all of the looks overall was transforming the models into queens, clearly no inspiration was taken from Queen Elizabeth’s curls and colorful frocks. Incidentally the styling was created by Patti Wilson, hair from Luigi Murenu and the genius of Stephane Marais for makeup.
