Beauty Files- Smokey Sexy Eyes For Spring

727702_hero
They say the eyes have it and they sure do for Spring. Gone with the dull and in with the statement eyes that will look great in two different versions for day and night. The experts at Sephora give us a brief tutorial in how to create both look-disclaimer: its actually quite simple despite how intense the looks are.

727801_hero STEP 1: PREP

Pat eye cream along browbones and undereye areas.
STEP 2: SHAPE
Fill in sparse areas of brows with a brow pencil or powder.
STEP 3: DEFINE
Press a rich pencil liner or cake liner right against the base of exposed lash roots and wiggle. Do this from the inner eye corners outward, along entire lash line. If using a cake liner, slightly dampen the shadow before applying with a flat eyeliner brush. Gently lift upper lids and repeat on upper lash lines.
STEP 4: LINE
Make the look more precise by pressing and dragging liner along the roots, from the outer to inner corners until you reach your desired intensity.
STEP 5: REFINE
Curl lashes and finish with two to three coats of mascara.

STEP 2: PRIME
Smooth a dab of eye primer over lids.
STEP 3: COLOR
Using a creamy shadow pencil or your finger to spread cream shadow, fill in entire lid, taking care to add a thick sweep of color along the top and bottom lash lines, too.
STEP 4: SMOKE
Blend shadow into the creases and beyond with the SEPHORA COLLECTION Pro Natural Smudge Brush #11. Color should be darkest at the lash lines and diffused out. Spread with your fingers, smudging for a smooth, smoky effect.
STEP 5: FINISH
Curl lashes and finish with two to three coats of mascara.
