Awards & Events- The Cast Of Mad Men Walk The Red Carpet For The Season 5 Premiere
Just about a week from now Mad Men will start their fifth season on AMC which means you have just as many days to channel your inner Don or Betty Draper and clank cocktails while eating deviled eggs and pimento cheese.
The cast came out to L.A. for the official premiere with lots of smiles and nothing else. Meaning they were super tight lipped about exactly what is going to happen to the characters as per creator Mathew Weiner’s instructions.
Anticipation for the hit 1950’s drama has been building thanks to some genius marketing collaborations with Estee Lauder for a limited edition collection of makeup and of course an encore collection of Mad Men inspired clothing from Banana Republic. In case you had forgotten Bananas involvement with the show their name was also on the step-and-repeat.
January Jones wore a cool cut-out dress by Roland Mouret and sported some pink streaks in her hair, decidedly not Betty Draper like. The men wore suits, same old same old. Since the show has a high turnover of female characters that dress in period clothing it was frankly hard to tell who the heck some of the women on the red carpet were but hey everyone looked good.
12 years old Kiernan Shipka who plays Sally Draper looked adorable in a Miu Miu dress and equally adorable jeweled shoes that looked a wee bit big for her but we must give whomever styled her credit for keeping the tween looking appropriate for her age and not too done up.
Christina Hendricks and Elisabeth Moss didn't make the event, whomp whomp.
