Backstage at Michael van der Ham’s Fall 2012 collection at London Fashion Week MAC cosmetics created what they called “halos of sunshine”, layers of gold shadow and gold leaf carefully applied to the models lids accented with thick winged out liner. Arts and crafts, meet Sephora.

According Cosmopolitan UK, MAC Eyeshadow in Primary Yellow (unfortunately a MAC PRO product) was applied in an intense semi-circle with white eyeliner on the insides of the lash lines and plenty of black mascara. MAC's Sam Bryant uses MAC Face & Body Makeup as well as the Lunar Cream Colour Base. The luminosity was enhanced with pearly Mineralize Blush powder pressed on top and Laidback Cream Blusher on the cheeks for a healthy glow.

In her blog makeup artist Fiona Henderson created a similar look for a photo shoot recently and recommends MAC’s Golden Lemon pigment to give your eyelids a bold golden tint. Other great products are, Urban Decay’s eyeshadow in Eldorado, Make Up Forever’s aqua cream waterproof cream color in Gold and for blending, Urban Decay’s shadow in Half Baked from the legendary Naked palette. In case you were wondering Half Baked is available individually as well.
