Runway Report- Azzaro Pre-Fall 2012 Is A Study In Classic Femininity
Mathilde Castello Branco the new creative director at Azzaro brought her Lanvin pedigree to the Pre-Fall 2012 collection and then some. Feminine, classic dresses dominated the presentation in jersey, some with knit waists functioning as corsets.
"My approach must be about modernity, she is always in a hurry so pieces must be easy," she explains, "the modern woman cannot afford to take a long time to dress". The dreamy debut collection is pretty but overall nothing remarkably different from the array of similar gowns and cocktail dresses currently on Neiman’s or Bergdorf’s.
